With 2 flat-track games against struggling Sunderland and Stoke that just got stuffed 4-0 by Spurs the previous week in a single gameweek, there could only be one serious Captain option: Kun Aguero.

This gameweek seem primed for him. Jesus out, him finding back his place in Pep’s lineup and rediscovering his scoring touch, this was the fantasy captaincy payout we were licking our lips over.

Together with many other Kun faithful, I activated my Triple Captain chip on Kun, knowing he will guarantee a haul.

How wrong I was.

1 goal, 1 bonus and 2 appearances, was Kun’s contribution over 180 minutes. While not a total loss, it was a disappointment as far as wielding the TC was concerned.

73 points (-4) was considered better than average. However, the fact that I burnt my TC meant that it was a bitter pill to swallow.

Mane did OK, with a goal and assist against Arsenal, while Pieters scored 14 points in 2 games, more than Aguero even.

Biggest disappointment and talking point was Ibra, who got -1 after being booked, missing a hatful of chances and having his weak penalty saved. To top it off, his elbow on Tyrone Mings which was missed by the ref resulted in a retrospective FA review and 3 match ban, taking him out of 2 plum ties.

I immediately transferred him out for Llorente, who has a game in GW28. Now to see who else who doesn’t play in GW28 to replace, with most likely Siggy or Lanzini, both who plays.

A very underwhelming and frustrating season thus far, with no massive gameweek or good scores yet.

Thanks again, Kun. This is twice he has burnt me when expected to shine. He is fast overtaking Lukaku as FPL’s biggest troll.

Meanwhile, Kane scores a brace, pushing him to currently the game’s most consistent forward. Must save money for him.
